Why Won’t The Roan Tell Me Something Anymore?

If any of you are familiar with my previous blog, The Roan is Going to Tell You Something, it was primarily about Christian issues such as evolution, homosexuality, drug use and other Christian culture type things.  It as was also spattered with album reviews (mostly metal) as well as politics, philosophy and other stuff.  I have chosen to abandon that formula.  I have done so for the following reasons. 

1)  The posts that got the most traffic were always my album reviews.  2)  Talking about such sensitive issues as evolution, Christian doctrine and other hot topics demand the clarity of direct communication and really don’t accomplish much for the kingdom in my opinion.  Especially the Christianity and marijuana posts, those got a lot of hits but I’m more than positive it just gave permission to struggling Christian kids looking to smoke pot, when really thats the last thing I wanted to do.  3)  Writing about philosophy and theology have encouraged my best friends Dan http://morenotesfromunderground.blogspot.com/ , Ben http://www.roestudios.com/b-log/ and Keith http://civitatedei.wordpress.com/ to participate in comment discussions.  As a result, our friendship group has experienced hurt feelings and slanderous talk, both of which I am guilty of and a victim of.  Due to recent events, mainly undue use of editors notes.  For these reason I have decided to take myself out of these discussions in terms blog use as it has been made clear to me that my thoughts and opinions are not respected. 

I still desire to write and interact so I am going for a music only blog, if I can resist writing about other stuff.  Which probably won’t last but I’ll give it a shot. 

So I hope to have a bunch of reviews, news and posts about the extreme music that I love so dear.
