The Road
Oh ya, it’s true. A movie made of metal is coming out this winter and just to prove that it’s real, here’s the first pic. Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road” is being filmed or is even in post-production right now. Directed by John Hillcoat and starring Viggo Mortensen as the father, it’s going to be sick!!! A movie about the apocalypse, cannibals, ash filled air, struggling to survive how could any metal fan not like it. If you haven’t read the book already, this is your official warning, it’s a must read, I read it in less than a day because I could not put it down.
I have to give respect to my buddy Mack who gave the heads up on this, he’s part of twitchfilm.net and they are up on any and all crazy movies.
Actually, if I had to pick a soundtrack to the road, it’d probably be something like Godspeed You! Black Emperor or perhaps one of those Johnny Cash songs where he talks about everyone being damned and judgment day.
That is something to ponder, I’m going to go through some tunes and figure what would be good for that movie. I don’t think Godspeed does justice to hopeless desolation.
